The Computer Problems We Were Experiencing with the Last Guy have Disappeared - I Don’t Even Have to Think about Computer Problems Anymore
Before Optistar, we were using a one-man-band computer guy for all of our support. Then several things happened that alerted us that he wasn’t doing such a great job. First, our computers starting slowing down and several crashed. The server went down on us multiple times and we were constantly losing our e-mail. He promised to take care of certain projects and then would never follow through. Later we discovered that we didn’t have a firewall in place and our backups were not set up properly. It got to the point where we were paying him to correct mistakes he had made!
Thank goodness a friend recommended OptiStar when he did. Mark spent a lot of time properly configuring our network including moving it to a secure location outside of our landlords room with other servers. All of our data, which is the heart of our business, is on our servers. Moving our equipment was surprisingly uneventful. It took place over the weekend and Monday morning we started work as if nothing had happened.
Our previous experience with IT providers was so bad we thought it was a “miracle”.
But I have since learned this is just how these guys do business.
Now we have the peace of mind that our network is being watched and properly maintained. The problems we were experiencing with the last guy have all disappeared which makes everyone here a lot more productive. I don’t even have to think about computer problems anymore. I like the personal service OptiStar provides and the fact that I can pick up the phone or email them anytime with a question and get an answer right away.
